High-end Gift Box Production Process

- Nov 26, 2018 -

The production process of the gift box is much more complicated than the folding paper box. The rear processing of the folding paper box is generally printed--surface finishing (hot stamping, silver coating, partial UV, bulging, etc.)--die cutting-- Glue box - inspection - boxing is completed.

The production process of the gift box is made by printing - surface finishing - overcutting die cutting - gray board die cutting - gray board slotting - gray board forming - outsourcing material paste - assembly - inspection - loading The box is completed. From the flow of the two products, the process of the gift box is complicated and complicated, and the process standard is much higher than that of the folding carton.

The high-end gift boxes that are common in our daily life, most of which are made of paper, and the paper surface is also most suitable for applying more processing, so the following is a process description using paper as the fabric.

Paper selection

The choice of paper is very important according to the customer's document design requirements and the effects to be reflected. The main considerations in this regard are:

1 Type of paper, such as coated paper, or art paper, pearl paper?

2 The thickness of the paper. The paper should not be too thick, and it is easy to wrinkle when it is thick, but it should not be too thin, otherwise the embossing effect cannot be reflected.

3 consider the decorative effect of the surface.

2. Surface decoration

The surface decoration process is very many, the most common ones are mainly offset printing, and then the various processes carried out on this basis are:

1 reverse upward light;

2 film (light film, matte film, touch film, scratch resistant film, etc.);

3 hot stamping (gold, red gold, color gold, silver, laser, etc.);

4 partial scraping of UV oil or screen ink;

5 special colorful powder;

6 convex convex;

7 embossing and so on.

3. Selection of gray board paper

Gray board is referred to as gray board, which is produced from a kind of recycled waste paper. Mainly divided into single ash, double ash, all gray, high light, according to customer requirements for surface flatness. It is an environmentally-friendly packaging material, with a basis weight ranging from 250g to 10000g, thickness from 0.4mm to 20mm, thickness and quantification without even an upper limit. Usually, the gray card is selected according to the size of the gift box.

4. Die cutting

Die-cutting is a very important part of the process. Special gift boxes have higher technical requirements for die-cutting. Accuracy and accuracy determine the quality of the products. Some errors directly affect the quality of subsequent processing.

5. Slotting

Slotting is to open a V-groove on a 1~4MM thick gray board with a slotting machine, generally retaining a connection layer of about 0.25MM. The V-shaped groove is angled, generally 90 degrees, 120 degrees, or according to product structure. Open V-grooves at different angles.

Slotting is a key step in the production of gift boxes. Before the gray board is formed, the gray board must be V-shaped, so that after the gray board is bent, the outer side is straight, the edges are sharp, and the four corners are accurate.
